Business Impact Series #3: Redefining Scale and Speed in Digital Lending Transformation
In the earlier articles of this series, I had shared how composable architecture and modern digital cores are enabling banks and financial institutions to deliver measurable impact at scale. Continuing that narrative, our recent lending delivery stands out as a powerful example of how we are redefining what’s possible in digital lending.
We recently went live with one of the GCC’s most respected financial institutions — a large-scale, field-driven lending company serving thousands of customers daily across multiple cities and channels. Their business model is both unique and demanding: field-enabled origination for BNPL and consumer-durable finance, multi-stage underwriting, real-time decisioning, and customer servicing that extends well beyond conventional banking hours.
No off-the-shelf system could support such operational depth and rhythm. So, we set out to configure one.
The Blueprint for Agility
Leveraging the iTurmeric platform powered by eMACH.ai, we co-created a fully composable digital-lending ecosystem — one that shaped technology around the business, not the other way around. Every process was designed for agility, precision, and scale.
Some of the key milestones in this transformation included:
1. The first complete data migration to PostgreSQL within this operating environment
2. A dedicated General Ledger microservice decoupled from the core stack
3. A digitally composed LOS with 3 processes, 27 sub-processes, 46 events, 121 screens, 18 external APIs, and 124 domain objects
4. Real-time orchestration across LOS ↔ LMS ↔ GL ↔ Rule Engine ↔ Credit Bureau ↔ Middleware
5. Payment flows designed for both loan-level and customer-level settlements
Field-ready digital journeys optimized for mobile, tablet, and web
Each component was engineered not just for functionality, but for resilience — to operate with speed, regulatory precision, and future-ready scale.
Building a New Operating Model for the Future
This transformation wasn’t just a technology implementation; it was the creation of a new operating model for modern lending — composable, field-aware, real-time, and financially precise.
In the Words of the Client CEO
“This platform represents a major milestone in our journey — one that reflects our commitment to efficiency, intelligence, and customer-first execution. Built on a modern architecture, it gives us the flexibility to innovate rapidly, strengthen our field operations, and position ourselves strongly for the next chapter of digital growth.”
